Dr Bridgette McKelvey is an award-winning practitioner, designer, writer, photographer, filmmaker and educator. 

NZ/ Polynesian roots shape a beach obsession and respectful, collaborative sharing of traditional perspectives. Works platform stories of Australian identity, social justice, ecology and animals for positive change outcomes.



Bridgette has delivered successive high-impact projects for government, and lectured/ coordinated Creative Industries programs and workshops for QUT, Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre. Her PhD Shadows: re-visualising the shark was presented to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 2012.
