Dr Bridgette McKelvey is an award-winning digital designer, writer, photographer, filmmaker and educator. Pacific roots- Celtic New Zealand, Samoan and Maori- feed saltwater imagery and a respectful understanding of traditional knowledge and practices. Works innovate stories of Australian identity, social justice, ecology and animal conservation for positive change outcomes.
Bridgette has delivered successive high-impact projects for government, and lectured and coordinated Creative Industries programs and workshops for QUT, Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre, Griffith University and Health and Community Services.
Shadows: re-visualising the shark, her PhD, was presented to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in 2012.
